Role Overview:
The Sr. Sales Agronomist is responsible for managing existing and attracting new customers within the sales territory, assisting customers with proper product selection and use based on agronomic needs, and maintaining and developing profitable customer relationships. A Sample of What You'll Do in thisRole:
Identify and develop new customers while managing and growing existing accounts to drive territory growth and profitability. Provide agronomic guidance to customers on product selection and use. Maintain strong, profitable relationships to become the market leader. Serve as a mentor to sales staff and a liaison with branch management, aligning strategies, goals, and execution plans. Manage support resources across nutrition, seed, branded products, and technology, ensuring successful implementation in the territory. Develop and execute annual business plans, including budgeting, forecasting, sales goals, and risk management in line with credit policies. Represent Wilbur-Ellis as the primary customer contact and ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines. What You Bring to theRole:
5+ years of experience in the agricultural industry Ability to work independently with minimum supervision Willingness to travel Knowledge of agricultural production and practices with local crops, varying depending on the geography Knowledge of herbicides and fertilizers (dry and liquid). Agronomy/Agribusiness Degree preferred What Makes You aGreat Fit:

In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $84,000 - $112,010. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, and retirement plan participation, including an employer contribution of up to 7% into your 401(k).
