Job Description
Senior-level electrical engineering role focused on designing and leading development of complex power and control systems for robotic and electromechanical applications. Job Requirements Bachelor of Science or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field with an electrical concentration; equivalent practical experience may be considered. Minimum 10+ years of practical experience in electrical engineering including concept development, analysis, simulation, design, drawing creation, assembly, integration, troubleshooting, and testing of complex electrical, electromechanical, automated, or robotic systems. U.S. citizenship required. Experience producing electrical and control system designs for complex systems or subsystems. Experience leading or supervising small to medium engineering teams. Experience working from incomplete high-level requirements to develop design solutions. Ability to create and interpret detailed schematics, wiring diagrams, cable drawings, and block diagrams. Experience with system power and energy calculations. Experience with DC power system design. Experience with electrical noise reduction, grounding, cabling, and EMI mitigation. Preferred Skills Experience integrating Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) equipment and designing required interfaces. Experience selecting and sizing electrical and electronic components including signal conditioning, power supplies, control devices, switching devices, SSRs, safety devices, terminal blocks, connectors, DIN rail, wiring, and cabling. Experience with embedded microprocessor and single-board computer control systems, including I/O selection, sensors, and actuators. Experience designing and integrating communications interfaces including Ethernet, USB, RS-232, RS-422, RS-485, SPI, I2C, and CAN. Proficiency with electronic test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, power analyzers, communications analyzers, insulation testers, spectrum analyzers, CTDR, OTDR, and optical power meters. Proficiency with engineering software such as Altium Designer, SPICE, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SolidWorks Electrical, MathCAD, and MATLAB. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Job Responsibilities Lead development of significant portions of electrical and control system designs. Lead, supervise, and mentor small to medium teams of electrical engineers. Translate high-level system requirements into complete electrical design solutions. Participate in and prepare for regular design reviews. Work with mechanical, software, and systems engineering disciplines to develop integrated system solutions. Support assembly, integration, troubleshooting, and testing of electrical and electromechanical systems. Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technicians as needed. Produce accurate engineering documentation and technical design outputs.
Pay:
