  • Full-time Staffing Coordinator / Medical Records Coordinator Position Summary A healthcare facility is seeking a detail-oriented and organized professional to serve in a dual-role position as a Staffing Coordinator and Medical Records Coordinator .
This individual will support daily staffing operations while ensuring medical records are maintained in compliance with federal, state, and facility guidelines. The ideal candidate is dependable, professional, and capable of working effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Medical Records Responsibilities Maintain medical records in accordance with federal and state regulations and facility policies. Organize, implement, evaluate, and oversee medical records processes and procedures. Review discharge and death records for completeness and accuracy. Collect, assemble, check, file, and maintain resident charts and personnel records. Maintain logs of authorized information released from records. Prepare and abstract records for insurance, Medicare, audits, legal proceedings, and other authorized requests. Compile records and reports for committee reviews and administrative meetings. Participate in orientation, in-service training, and staff education programs. Ensure records are properly stored and work areas remain clean and organized. Staffing Coordinator Responsibilities Coordinate daily and monthly staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage for resident care needs. Collaborate with nursing leadership regarding staffing needs, scheduling concerns, and operational improvements. Maintain attendance records accurately and report concerns appropriately. Audit nursing staff time records in a timely manner. Prepare staffing reports for leadership review. Schedule appointments, answer phones, and assist with administrative support as needed. Assist with the coordination and implementation of staffing procedures and processes. Monitor staffing operations to ensure compliance with facility policies and management direction. Maintain a professional and organized work environment. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in healthcare staffing coordination, scheduling, or health information management preferred. Knowledge of staffing procedures and medical records practices is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required. Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally. Skills and Abilities Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, staff, residents, family members, and the public. Ability to work tactfully with elderly, disabled, emotionally upset, or ill individuals. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage frequent interruptions. Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
