That only happens with strong operational leadership. This role is critical. The Role (What You'll Actually Do) As a Mitigation Project Manager, you are responsible for owning projects from emergency response through completion. You are not simply "checking on jobs." You are driving production, communication, documentation, profitability, and accountability.You will:
Respond to emergency on-call situations in person and provide immediate operational support Travel as needed for catastrophe response and projects outside the regular service territory Write detailed mitigation estimates using Xactimate and Symbility and company estimating standards Review scope accuracy, labor, equipment, and line items to ensure estimates are complete and profitable Communicate with adjusters and clients regarding scope, documentation, and project approvals Ensure estimates, supplements, and job documentation are submitted accurately and on time Manage water, fire, mold, storm, and emergency mitigation projects from start to finish Coordinate crews, equipment, scheduling, and daily production goals Oversee drying strategy, moisture mapping, containment, and mitigation execution Ensure jobs are properly documented with photos, moisture readings, notes, and client communication Maintain production timelines and ensure projects stay organized and profitable Communicate clearly with technicians, clients, adjusters, vendors, and company leadership Handle difficult situations professionally and decisively Identify problems early and solve them before they become operational failures Maintain jobsite quality, safety, cleanliness, and professionalism Train and develop field technicians while reinforcing company systems and standards Represent FP Property Restoration professionally at all times This is a leadership role for operators who can manage urgency without creating chaos. You're a strong fit if: You take ownership of projects and outcomes You can lead crews without constant oversight You understand that poor communication destroys jobs and client trust You can balance speed, quality, documentation, and profitability You stay organized under pressure You solve problems instead of creating excuses You hold yourself and others accountable You can lead in fast-paced, emergency-response environments You want long-term growth, not just another management position Preferred Experience Experience writing mitigation estimates in Xactimate and Symbility Ability to build accurate scopes for water, mold, fire, and demolition projects Understanding of insurance workflows, supplements, and documentation requirements Mitigation Project Management experience in restoration Water, mold, and fire mitigation experience Experience managing technicians and subcontractors IICRC certifications are strongly preferred Knowledge of drying systems, moisture mapping, psychrometrics, and Xactimate is a plus Experience with commercial and large-loss projects preferred Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Attitude, leadership, discipline, and operational competence matter just as much as technical experience.
