Job Title:
Stockroom Supervisor Job Description The Stockroom Supervisor oversees daily warehouse and stockroom operations to ensure the efficient, accurate, and timely flow of materials, inventory, and finished goods. This role provides hands-on leadership to the stockroom team, drives operational performance, enforces standard processes, and collaborates closely with Production, Quality, Purchasing, and Sales to meet business objectives. The Stockroom Supervisor safeguards inventory integrity, shipping and receiving accuracy, and workplace organization while promoting a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and safety.

  • Friday Responsibilities Supervise, train, and mentor warehouse and stockroom personnel to ensure adherence to company standards, procedures, and best practices.
Assign daily work, monitor performance, and adjust staffing and priorities to meet changing operational demands. Conduct regular performance feedback, coaching, and support employee development to build a high-performing team. Enforce accountability for key performance indicators, inventory accuracy, and workplace discipline. Oversee all domestic and international shipments to ensure compliance with customer specifications, regulatory requirements, and export regulations. Establish shipment priorities in coordination with Production Control and Sales to meet delivery commitments. Proactively resolve shipping issues, delays, and discrepancies to minimize impact on customers and production. Ensure all incoming materials are inspected, verified, and accurately transacted in the ERP system (SAP) in a timely manner. Manage dock scheduling, unloading priorities, and internal material flow to keep operations running smoothly. Escalate supplier discrepancies and coordinate resolution with Purchasing and Quality teams. Own inventory accuracy and reconciliation between physical stock and SAP records, ensuring data integrity. Oversee the cycle counting program, ensuring timely completion of counts and resolution of variances. Monitor obsolete, excess, and expired materials and drive corrective actions to reduce waste and cost. Ensure timely and accurate kitting of materials to support production schedules and on-time delivery. Coordinate material availability and proactively resolve material shortages to avoid production disruptions. Align closely with Production to support schedule changes, rush orders, and urgent material needs. Essential Skills Proven leadership experience in warehouse, logistics, or materials management, with 2+ years in a lead or supervisory role preferred. At least 5 years of experience in shipping, receiving, inventory control, or warehouse operations. Strong knowledge of ERP systems, with SAP experience preferred. Solid understanding of inventory management practices and principles. Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff. Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy. Physical ability to support warehouse operations as needed, including material handling tasks. High school diploma or GED. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kingston, MA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00
