Responsibilities Execute comprehensive floor care routines such as stripping old wax, applying fresh wax coatings, buffing surfaces to a high shine, and performing detailed carpet cleaning. Maintain cleanliness of all areas by sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal to uphold hygiene standards. Use specialized equipment and cleaning products safely and effectively to deliver outstanding results in commercial environments. Conduct regular inspections of floors and surfaces to identify maintenance needs or areas requiring additional attention. Follow all safety protocols during cleaning procedures to ensure a secure work environment for yourself and others. Restock janitorial supplies as needed and report supply shortages promptly. Assist with environmental services tasks that support overall facility upkeep and sanitation. Qualifications Proven experience in janitorial or custodial services, especially in commercial or large-scale settings. Knowledge of floor care techniques including stripping, waxing, buffing, and carpet cleaning methods. Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as buffers, extractors, vacuums, and mops. Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Ability to follow safety guidelines and handle cleaning chemicals responsibly. Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively. Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive motions throughout shifts.
