Subcontractor Project Manager

Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Subcontractor to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing subcontractor activities, ensuring project specifications are met, and maintaining seamless coordination across various phases of construction projects. Responsibilities Coordinate with project managers, clients, and internal teams to define scope of work and establish clear expectations for subcontractors. Manage subcontractor schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks aligned with overall project timelines. Review and interpret construction blueprints, schematics, and contracts to verify scope accuracy and compliance with design specifications. Oversee subcontractor work on-site, conducting regular inspections to ensure adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and project specifications. Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, HeavyBid, or Civil 3D for tracking progress, updating schedules, and documenting issues. Facilitate effective communication between subcontractors and project teams to resolve conflicts or delays promptly. Assist in cost estimation and budgeting using construction estimating tools; monitor expenditures against project budgets. Ensure all work complies with local codes, safety regulations, and contractual obligations. Maintain detailed records of work performed, change orders, RFIs (Requests for Information), and other project documentation. Support project scheduling efforts by updating timelines based on real-time site conditions and resource availability. Requirements Proven experience in construction site management or as a subcontractor within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction drawings. Familiarity with construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6 (Primavera), Civil 3D, HeavyBid or similar tools for project coordination and scheduling. Experience with contracts management and understanding of construction estimating processes. Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and blueprints accurately. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Solid understanding of construction safety protocols and site regulations. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across teams and stakeholders. Knowledge of project management principles including project scheduling, cost control, and resource allocation. Construction site experience is essential; familiarity with heavy civil or commercial projects is preferred.
