Job Overview Join our vibrant summer team as a Child Care Assistant, where your enthusiasm and dedication will create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for school age children. In this role, you will support the development and well-being of children through active supervision, educational activities, and compassionate caregiving. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact while gaining valuable experience in school age childcare. Duties Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety at all times Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate educational and recreational activities that promote learning and social skills Support children with daily routines such as meal times Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment in accordance with safety standards Apply behavior management techniques to encourage positive interactions and resolve conflicts calmly Requirements Ability to engage children actively while maintaining safety and discipline standards Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and families Demonstrated patience, compassion, and enthusiasm for working with young children Desired Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or classroom environments is desired Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Certification or training in first aid and CPR This role is perfect for motivated individuals passionate about fostering growth in young learners.
