Duties Perform thorough cleaning of indoor and outdoor areas, including floors, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies. Conduct routine janitorial tasks such as trash removal, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces to uphold high cleanliness standards. Assist with floor care activities including buffing, polishing, stripping, sealing, and waxing to maintain optimal flooring conditions. Support facilities maintenance by reporting repairs needed for lighting fixtures, plumbing issues, or structural concerns promptly. Carry out residential painting projects or touch-ups as needed to enhance the appearance of various facility areas. Engage in industrial cleaning tasks that may involve cleaning large equipment or specialized areas requiring extra attention to safety protocols. Maintain cleanliness logs and safety documentation to ensure compliance with health standards and company policies. Requirements Prior experience in cleaning, janitorial work, custodial services or facilities maintenance is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential! Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, bending, lifting moderate weights, and operating cleaning equipment safely. Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and polishing is a plus. Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices or industrial cleaning procedures is advantageous. Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness and safety standards. Ability to follow instructions carefully while working independently or as part of a team. Excellent time management skills to complete assigned tasks efficiently during scheduled shifts.
