$ 28.60 At RedBuilt , safety comes first-ALWAYS. We design and manufacture high-quality engineered wood products that support communities across the country. As we continue to grow, we are currently looking for a Quality Assurance & Research summer intern. This internship offers hands on experience in quality assurance, industry research, and process improvement. Interns will work directly with the QA Supervisor on real-world projects involving product testing, data analysis, and continuous improvement. The internship will culminate in a final project presented to plant leadership.

DUTIES:

Learn the manufacturing process and plant quality systems Support research and continuous improvement projects related to product quality and process control Assist in designing, conducting, and documenting technical research projects Perform routine QA testing on raw materials and finished products Monitor manufacturing processes and identify potential improvement opportunities Gain experience with manufacturing standards and QA procedures Complete and present an independent research or continuous improvement project at the end of the internship

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. Basic data analysis and computer skills (Excel required, database or Python experience is a plus) Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in a technical field Self-motivated, able to work independently on assigned tasks Math and statistics skills/understanding Reliable attendance and punctuality Physically able to manipulate heavy and/or awkward test material/equipment Familiarity with hand and power tools.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Pursuing a degree in Wood Science, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, or a related technical field Previous work experience in a lab Project management experience Any experience in computer programming
