Location:

JA Program Description:

A six week special education program addressing students with global developmental delays and/or autism spectrum disorders. The focus of the program is on the maintenance of academic and social behavioral skills and the prevention of regression. The student to teacher ratio is 8:1+1. Teachers are expected to work the entire duration of the program. Teachers will report to the Summer School Principal and Special Education Coordinator and receive walk through feedback.

Requirements :

NYS Special Education Certification. Strong preference for candidates with experience working with students who have significant global developmental delays. Knowledge of social skill development and training. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with support staff to ensure active student participation and engagement in the program.
