Supervisor - Welding & Fabrication

• a manufacturer and distributor of buckets and attachments for skid steers, is looking for a Supervisor in our Welding & Fabrication Department .

This is a hands on working Supervisor. Essential Functions 1. Direct and manage plant operations for MIG welding (Bench, Manual and Robotic) and fabrication (Saw, Plasma, Brake Press and Shear). 2. Advanced working knowledge of MIG welding techniques, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to read/work from blueprints. 3. Able to pull parts for production welding work orders, direct welders to achieve their task, inspect and sign off on all welded items prior to sending them to paint. 4. Experience operating forklifts and utilizing hand and power tools. 5. Champion health, environment, and safety initiatives within your areas of the business. 6. Coordinate plant activities through planning to insure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in safe, timely, and cost-effective manner. 7. Develop a culture that promotes involvement, communication, expectations, accountability, and passion for excellence. 8. Improve operational metrics through effective leadership, deployment of lean and continuous improvement, learning and development initiatives. 9. Control and minimize labor, overtime, and rework expenses. 9. Maintain existing plant facilities and equipment; replace or make adjustments to plant facilities and equipment when necessary. 10. Able to follow direction with attention to detail, able to work independently, and willingness to work overtime when necessary. Competencies 1. Leadership. 2. Safety Awareness 3. Salary range:

$75,000

• $85,000 base
• plus bonus opportunity. Salary Exempt. Hours are Monday
• Friday 4:30am to 3:00pm.
