Position Summary The Surgical Instrument Repair Technician is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of surgical instruments and equipment, restoring them to original manufacturer specifications. Technicians will use small equipment, hand tools, torches, lasers, machining equipment, and specialized tooling. This is a hands-on position that requires an eye for detail and a desire for continuous learning and skill development. This job is based at our well-maintained repair facility in Lino Lakes. Once fully trained and experienced, technicians may also work out of our mobile unit, providing on-site service at customer locations.

Key Responsibilities Workshop Duties:

Apprentice under Master Technicians to learn the instrument repair trade Use specialized facility equipment to repair and sharpen surgical instruments Follow established workflow, documentation, and preventative maintenance procedures Inspect and assess repairs to ensure quality standards are met Meet daily production deadlines Maintain a clean and organized workstation Collaborate with the Shop Manager and peers to ensure smooth workflow, technique improvement, and team development On-Site Duties (Post-Training): Travel locally for on-site preventative maintenance at customer locations Represent Bramstedt with professionalism and excellent communication Required Qualifications Minimum 1 year of experience with hand tools or light workshop equipment Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity Willingness to learn machining, brazing, welding, and fabrication Ability to work independently Detail-oriented, reliable, and a positive attitude Basic computer proficiency Valid driver's license High School diploma or equivalent Physical Requirements Ability to sit/stand for extended periods Comfortable working in a workshop environment Able to commute to Lino Lakes, MN daily Ability to lift 30+ lbs What We Offer Paid Training & Skill Development Paid Time Off (Vacation + Parental Leave) Health Insurance Reimbursement Simple IRA (immediately) with Company Match (after 1 year) Family-Owned, Team-Oriented Environment Long-Term Job Security Opportunity to grow within a thriving, innovation-focused company Join Us We are looking for a talented individual who wants more than just a job—they want to master a craft, contribute to a meaningful mission, and be part of a company that values curiosity, craftsmanship, and collaboration.
