Job Summary:
Coordinates and provides individuals from initiation, follow-up, and closure, for work experience opportunities.Essential Job Functions:
Prepare high school students for a summer employment application process, including resume writing, interviewing skills, professional communication, and attendance. Conduct virtual coaching sessions, assess high school students' interests, skills, and career aspirations to guide them in selecting suitable work experiences. Coordinate and attend Worksite visits at the host organizations to ensure a smooth matching process. Maintain detailed records of student participation, performance, interactions, and feedback for program evaluation and improvements. Ensure that high school students complete their surveys during their internship to provide immediate feedback on their experiences. Collect and manage all necessary student documents to ensure compliance with legal and program requirements, aid in onboarding, introductions to the workplace culture, and initial training sessions to ensure a seamless transition into their internship roles. Verify timesheets for accuracy, guiding them in proper documentation of their work experience hours. Conduct brief weekly check-in sessions with students to monitor progress and address challenges. Provide on-site visits to work experience locations and conduct regular check-ins to monitor the students progress, offer support and encouragement. Maintain familiarity with child labor laws to ensure work experience compliance, safeguarding a safe and lawful work environment for students. Encourage intern participation in workshops or group sessions relevant to young workers. Act as a liaison between students, work experience providers, and Case Manager to ensure a smooth transition and maximize the learning experience for students. Offer constructive feedback on performance and assist students in setting and achieving personal and professional development goals. Performs other related duties as assigned.Non-Essential Job Functions:
Processes Request for Payments (RFPs) as needed. Assist business customers to conduct on-site recruitment, screening, interviewing, or job fairs. Assist with CareerSource job fairs. Other duties as assigned.Supervision Received:
This position reports to the Program Manager . May receive direction from Senior Program Manager .Supervision Exercised:

Internal - Works cooperatively and professionally with all internal staff. External -May interface with social service agencies, public, private sector, and other agencies.Minimum Requirements:
Education Level Must have at minimum High School or GED. Associate degree from an accredited college or university preferred. 1 year, work experience required - prefer 2 years related experience. Experience One-year related work experience in education, counseling, social services, or related fields is preferred. One year, experience in facilitating or instructing groups in the area of employee motivation or job readiness is preferred. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Must have Computer skills Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Creole) preferred not required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, public speaking may be necessary. Excellent customer service skills to work with customers and the public. Must have exceptional attention to detail and ability to document case management details. Ability to work with diverse populations. Ability to work with job seekers and business customers. Ability to understand, interpret and follow federal, state and local policies and regulations. Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality, credibility and professionalism. Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, EXCEL and PowerPoint. Ability to maintain flexibility to accommodate organizational needs. Ability to track priorities, meet deadlines, and demonstrate good time management skills.Other Requirements:
Must have transportation as will be necessary for travel throughout the workforce development region for assigned counties and training May attend various functions and meetings which may occur before or after normal business hours. Valid Florida Driver's License and Insurance.Physical Requirements:
Physical ability to perform the above listed Job Functions. May be required to sit for long periods of time. Infrequent light physical effort required - reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workday. Proper lifting techniques required may include lifting up to 25 pounds for files and computer printouts on occasion. Work is performed in an office environment and may require prolonged periods of driving or traveling within the region visiting employers and community partners.
