Job Description

SUMMARY:
Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation (Yocha Dehe or Tribe) is a federally recognized tribal government. The Tribe's mission is to provide for the health and welfare of its people, to govern its own lands and affairs with sovereign independence and in a manner consistent with its cultural values, and to enhance and diversify its economy for the overall good of the nation. Yocha Dehe's governing body, its elected Tribal Council, is charged with implementing this mission. As a federally-recognized tribe, Yocha Dehe exercises a government-to-government relationship with the United States, as well as with the State of California and local governments, and the Tribe actively engages with outside agencies and officials, local stakeholders and members of the public.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Facilities & Infrastructure Systems Technician will be working in conjunction with the F&I team. The Systems Technician assists with the monitoring and maintenance of F&I digital maintenance programs. Typical duties include planning, developing, implementing and evaluating data from programs, coordinating program activities, and collaborating with outside contractor's staff. In addition, the Systems Technician will also perform data entry and report generation. Responsibilities will also include developing measurable project goals and objectives, and monitoring progress toward achievement. The Systems Technician prepares reports for meetings, and collaborates with team members to develop project scope. This position exercises responsibilities for the compliance of applicable laws, codes, ordinances, policies and procedures related to all non-gaming properties by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations. Coordinates, performs monitoring and maintains F&I Computer Maintenance Monitoring Systems (CMMS) for buildings, systems, fleet and all grounds. Ensures work orders are up to date and entered properly with sufficient information. Assigns work orders as necessary. Supports and assists in tracking maintenance and repairs of residential and commercial, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems in Tribal Community and other Tribal properties. Coordinates minor construction and renewal projects on buildings and grounds. Monitors HVAC, solar, fleet maintenance and all other F&I computer-based systems. Provides feedback to F&I management about Electronic Maintenance Systems. Inspects completed work orders of internal staff to ensure conformance and expectations. Performs review of CMMS on a regular basis for current updates and revisions. Requisition of tools, equipment and supplies as needed for project coordination. Communicates with contractors or inside labor for hour requirements for completion of job assignments. Works with the F&I management to schedule in house labor when required. Inputs and assigns task and work information into computerized work management system. (Maintenance Connection) Communicates Tribal policies to external workers. Participates in post-construction conferences to ensure appropriate project completion and documentation. Coordinates work with the Cultural Resources Department before digging anywhere on any tribal lands. Leads and promotes safety and safety training. Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
Supervisory Responsibility This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Qualifications The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent plus experience in commercial and/or residential maintenance or construction industry, required. Must understand and communicate in construction, maintenance and repair terms. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Knowledge and experience in terms used for installation, operation and repair of HVAC, refrigeration, boilers, electrical systems, plumbing, systems, sprinkler systems, building and grounds maintenance and equipment repair. Ability and understanding of various codes and regulations involving construction, installation, fire, safety and sanitation. Communication and Comprehension Skills Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality concerning Tribal matters by using tact, diplomacy, and an understanding of the organizational culture, climate, and/or politics. Good interpersonal skills using professional etiquette with sensitivity to the diversity of a multi-cultural audience is required. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, governmental regulations, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and performance appraisals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from senior management, peers, and Tribal members. Mathematical Skills Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to apply geometric and measurement principles for minor construction. Ability to perform mathematical calculations consistent with domestic water systems operations and maintenance. Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to set priorities and make appropriate decisions on assignments contingent upon availability of manpower and materials. Ability to analyze facts and exercise sound judgment in arriving at conclusions. Ability to monitor work-in-progress and evaluate work accomplishments. Computer Skills Must have experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications with the ability to use word processing, multimedia, email, spreadsheets, and other services tracking software. Must have proficient typing skills. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Individuals must be able to successfully pass the Tribal Gaming Agency (TGA) Background Check. Must possess a valid driver's license, and maintain a driving record that is satisfactory to the Tribe's insurance carrier. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and arms to operate office equipment; push, pull and grasp objects; talk and hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodations. The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, outside weather condition and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Additional Conditions of Employment Must have the ability to travel up to 10% of the time. Must be able to work with diverse population and with cultural sensitivity. Must be willing to sign the Tribe's Non-Disclosure, Non-Disparagement and Confidentiality Agreement .
