Teacher/ Caregiver —

Mini Mountaineers Learning Center Position Summary:

Caregivers at Mini Mountaineers Learning Center play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children. This position is responsible for the daily care, supervision, and developmental support of children in accordance with the center's policies, procedures, and state licensing regulations. Caregivers work as part of a team to provide high-quality early learning experiences and positive interactions for every child.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times. Provide age-appropriate care, activities, and educational opportunities in a nurturing setting. Assist with planning and implementing daily activities that support children's development in physical, emotional, social, and cognitive areas. Foster positive, respectful relationships with children, families, and fellow staff members. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom and outdoor play environment. Follow health, safety, and emergency procedures as required by licensing regulations and center policies. Assist with meals, snacks, diapering, toileting, and other daily routines. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding their child's day, needs, and accomplishments. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years of age. Ability to pass an enhanced background check and drug test. CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire). Enjoy working with young children and supporting their growth and development. Good communication skills, patience, and a positive, team-oriented attitude. Willingness to complete required ongoing training as outlined by Idaho Childcare Licensing.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in a licensed childcare, preschool, or early learning environment is a plus.

Working Conditions:

Part-time or full-time positions available. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and actively participate in activities with children indoors and outdoors. Occasional evening or weekend events.

Starting wage:

$16/ hour
