Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact by supporting a young student's success in a dynamic school environment. This contract opportunity is perfect for a credentialed Paraprofessional eager for a one-on-one assignment in an ASD classroom through the end of the 2025-26 school year, with potential for extended work during the summer session for strong performers. You will be working closely with a 4th grade student in a supportive elementary school, offering individualized guidance, structure, and care to help them access learning throughout the school day. The student is independent with feeding but needs prompts for toileting and requires supervision and redirection due to elopement behaviors. This position offers a steady weekday schedule—30 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 9:15 AM to 3:45 PM—within a single building, ensuring consistency for both you and your student.
Qualifications:
Active Paraprofessional credential required (please ensure current status) Associate's degree or higher Minimum of 2 years of paraprofessional experience, preferably with students on the autism spectrum Experience with 1:1 support, particularly with individualized instruction and behavioral redirection Skilled in providing prompts and supporting toileting needs Patient, observant, and committed to maintaining a positive learning environment
