Send job Job Details Job DescriptionJob Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a meaningful impact on students' lives by supporting learners with visual impairments in an engaging educational environment. This contract opportunity, based near Creswell, OR, is designed for dedicated professionals who are ready to travel between district locations, providing direct instruction and accessibility support to visually impaired students. The assignment is anticipated to run from mid/late August through late May/early June, with final dates to be determined according to the school calendar. Enjoy a full-time schedule of 37.5-40 hours weekly as you collaborate with faculty, students, and families to foster independence and academic achievement.
Key Qualifications:
Valid teaching certification with an endorsement in Visual Impairment (or eligibility to obtain) Experience delivering instruction to students with varying levels of visual impairment Strong understanding of Braille, assistive technologies, and adaptive tools Ability to manage a caseload traveling to multiple district sites Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills Curiosity, flexibility, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide individualized and small group instruction in accordance with each student's IEP Assess visual functioning and educational needs, recommending appropriate modifications Collaborate closely with classroom teachers and support personnel Train and support staff and families in utilizing accessibility and assistive technology Monitor student progress, maintain thorough records, and attend multidisciplinary meetings Advocate for students, ensuring equitable access to educational opportunities For more information and to view the job posting, please visit: https://www.ziprecruiter.com/c/Lane-Education-Service-District/Job/Teacher
