Category Schools - Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity shaping the future for students as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing. This contract position offers the chance to provide individualized support to K-12 learners, guiding them toward academic success while addressing their unique educational needs. Key Qualifications:
Current certification as a Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) Educator Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing Familiarity with developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Strong communication and collaboration skills Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive educational environmentRole Responsibilities:
Deliver targeted, 1:1 instruction for students according to each IEP Work onsite, part-time, for 1 to 1.5 hours daily, Tuesday through Friday, ensuring focused attention on each student's goals Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instruction as needed Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support students' social, emotional, and academic growth Participate in team meetings and contribute expertise on DHH best practicesPosition Perks:
