Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) | Johnson City, New York

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. In this contract position, you'll provide specialized instruction for students who are deaf or hard of hearing, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to create inclusive classrooms and individualized education plans.

Key Qualifications:

Valid certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing Education or eligibility for endorsement Demonstrated experience teaching or supporting students who are deaf or hard of hearing Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) or other communication methods commonly used with this population Strong understanding of assistive technology and adaptive strategies Excellent communication and advocacy skills when working with students, families, and staff Ability to assess student progress and modify instruction accordingly Previous experience in a school setting is highly valued

Primary Responsibilities:
