We are seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst to join our actuarial team and lead key actuarial and analytical initiatives. This role is ideal for a professional with strong technical expertise, communication skills, sound business judgement, and the ability to translate complex actuarial insights into actionable recommendations for underwriting and senior leadership teams. Key Responsibilities Support quarterly reserving and financial close activities, including evaluation of loss development, frequency and severity trends, large losses, and actual versus expected emergence. Prepare reserving exhibits, reports, and supporting documentation for internal reviews, financial reporting, and actuarial analyses. Assist in reconciling actuarial results with financial data and investigate differences. Contribute to monitoring portfolio performance, profitability, rate adequacy, and emerging trends to support pricing decisions and regulatory filings. Collaborate with Underwriting, Claims, Finance, and other functions to understand portfolio performance, claim developments, and key business drivers. Performs peer reviews to ensure work quality and strengthen collaboration. Support ad hoc projects and initiatives assigned by senior actuarial staff. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field. 2+ years P&C actuarial experience; completion of 3+ CAS actuarial exams Working Knowledge of SQL, Python/R and Microsoft Office applications. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Clear written and verbal communication skills Work Arrangements This position follows a hybrid schedule, with 40% of work time spent in our Chicago office. Compensation and Benefits Base salary range for this position is $95,000 - $115,000 plus eligibility for a performance-based annual bonus. Actual compensation will be based on a variety of factors including experience, education, and location.
