Location Statesboro Campus - Statesboro, GA Department Information IT Data Analytics Job Summary The Director of Operational Analytics reports to the Chief Analytics Officer (CAO) and serves as a strategic leader within the IT Data Analytics team. This role bridges the gap between data science and business operations by driving data-informed decisions across the university. The Director is responsible for designing, optimizing, and maintaining the data infrastructure - including data lakes and warehouses - to support enterprise business intelligence. By leveraging advanced data analytics, this role empowers leadership with actionable insights to optimize business strategy and performance. Responsibilities Architect and deliver comprehensive analytics reports and datasets that enable university leadership to execute data-driven strategies Apply advanced problem-solving and creative thinking to adapt emerging technologies to meet evolving customer and institutional needs Lead and mentor a team in the creation and deployment of robust analytical solutions Innovate new methodologies for leveraging business data to enhance decision-making processes across departments Identify patterns and trends within enterprise data to provide actionable insights into operational efficiency and performance Translate complex analytical findings into clear, non-technical narratives for stakeholders to facilitate organizational alignment Design, develop, and manage scalable data pipelines for the seamless ingestion and transformation of diverse structured and unstructured data sources Evaluate industry trends and advancements in data modeling to ensure the institution remains at the forefront of analytics innovation Required Qualifications Educational Requirements Bachelor's Degree Required Experience Seven (7) or more years of related work experience Preferred Qualifications Preferred Educational Qualifications Master's Degree Preferred Experience Experience including data pipeline development and optimization, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration Proficiency with at least one of the following programming or query languages: SQL, Python, Java, R; Five or more years of IT leadership and management experience Experience with Snowflake and Microsoft Power BI Customer relationship management in a higher education environment Proposed Salary Commensurate with Experience This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.
