The environment is highly integration-focused and product-oriented, with an emphasis on building scalable internal platforms and operational tooling rather than isolated AI demos or prototypes. What You'll Be Doing Build AI-enabled internal applications and workflow experiences across desktop and mobile contexts Develop secure API-first integrations across enterprise systems, SaaS platforms, and internal services Design and implement agentic workflows capable of retrieving knowledge, calling tools, and automating operational tasks Work closely with architecture, product, and business stakeholders to translate ambiguous operational challenges into working software Use AI-assisted development tooling such as Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar platforms to accelerate engineering delivery Review, validate, and harden AI-generated code for production use Contribute to scalable engineering patterns, integration standards, and platform architecture decisions Build with strong attention to testing, observability, maintainability, and security Required Skills & Experience 4+ years of professional software engineering experience Strong background in application, platform, or full stack engineering Experience building production-grade enterprise applications, integrations, or internal platforms Strong API and systems integration experience Familiarity with API gateway or service gateway platforms such as Kong, Apigee, AWS API Gateway, or similar technologies Experience working directly with business stakeholders and operating in ambiguous environments Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development workflows in real-world software delivery Strong systems thinking and product mindset Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and secure engineering practices Preferred Experience Agentic AI frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, CrewAI, or similar MCP, tool-calling, or function-calling workflows RAG, vector search, embeddings, or enterprise knowledge retrieval systems AWS Bedrock or enterprise LLM platforms Experience with enterprise automation or orchestration tooling Familiarity with Workato, MuleSoft, Boomi, or similar iPaaS platforms Exposure to retail, restaurant, field operations, or enterprise support environments Experience integrating platforms such as Zendesk, Workday, Teams, Snowflake, Datadog, or similar enterprise systems Mobile application exposure is helpful but not required Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting.
