The Ads ML Experimentation team is looking for a ML Engineer who can build full-stack applications to help shape the future of how Apple's advertising systems experiment to connect millions of global users to content from publishers and developers. You'll build intuitive interfaces that transform complex statistical concepts and ML workflows into seamless user experiences, making advanced experimentation and AI accessible to teams across Apple Ads. This role requires partnering with cross-functional teams to effectively coordinate the complex interdependencies inherent in application development. A successful candidate has strong technical skills and is eager to create simple, intuitive user experiences; they have a keen eye for the details that surprise and delight our customers. Description DescriptionIn this role, you will design and build the next generation ML and experimentation platform for the Apple Ads ecosystem. You'll be responsible for transforming complex ML workflows into intuitive web applications. You will introduce AI-powered insights through seamless user interfaces, develop workflows from model training to A/B testing and evaluation, all while delivering on Apple's privacy commitments in large-scale distributed cloud computing environments.

Java 21, Spring Boot, Python, PostgreSQL Minimum Qualifications Fluency in full-stack development using technologies such as React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript Industry experience in ML domain, with experience building features and models Experience in Ads domain Knowledge of ML platforms/infrastructure, ML fundamentals, and Experimentation fundamentals. Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms for optimization Experience designing, implementing, and iterating on intuitive user interfaces Experience with both online and offline A/B Testing infrastructure and/or methodologies. Proficiency with database design and database languages (SQL) to build applications. Experience with alerting and observability tools (DataDog, Splunk) to monitor production systems Skilled at operating in a cross-functional organization. Ability to condense complex concepts and projects into clear, actionable takeaways Excellent communication and presentation skills with a curious business attitude Desire to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment with cross-functional ownership Preferred Qualifications Education & Experience Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Math or related field. 10+ years of industry experience designing, building, maintaining, and extending web-scale production systems. Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $184,700 and $277,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
