Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled AI/GenAI Mainframe Modernization Engineer to join our innovative technology team. This role is pivotal in leading the transformation of legacy mainframe systems into scalable, efficient, and secure enterprise solutions utilizing advanced AI and Generative AI technologies. The successful candidate will drive modernization initiatives, ensuring seamless integration with modern IT infrastructure and cloud platforms, while leveraging expertise in system architecture, software development, and enterprise solutions implementation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of mainframe modernization through cutting-edge AI applications and automation strategies.

Duties Mainframe Development:

Build, enhance, and maintain enterprise applications on IBM z/OS platforms.

Core Technologies:

Strong hands-on expertise in COBOL, DB2, JCL, CICS, and VSAM .

Application Delivery:

Translate business requirements into scalable, reliable Mainframe solutions.

Batch Processing:

Develop and manage JCL jobs, procedures, utilities, and batch workflows .

Online Systems:

Support and enhance CICS-based transactional applications and integrations.

Production Support:

Investigate defects, perform root-cause analysis, and resolve critical production issues.

SDLC Collaboration:

Partner with Business Analysts, QA, and technical teams throughout development and release cycles.

Quality & Standards:

Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and technical documentation .

Mainframe Environment:

Experience with TSO/ISPF, z/OS , release management, and deployment activities.

AI/GenAI Advantage:

Exposure to AI/GenAI tools, automation, or modernization initiatives within Mainframe environments is highly desirable.
