Job Description
Job Summary The Product Specialist / Product Manager is responsible for managing product information, supporting product launches, and serving as a key resource for product knowledge throughout the company. This position works closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Marketing, Sales, and Aftersales to ensure products are accurate, well-supported, and successfully brought to market. Key Responsibilities Manage new product launches from initial planning through production and release. Support products throughout their lifecycle, including updates, improvements, and product changes. Maintain accurate product information, specifications, pricing, and technical documentation. Manage SKU numbers, part numbers, product descriptions, and product records. Coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, and Marketing on product development and updates. Work with internal teams to ensure product information is accurate and available when needed. Develop product training materials, product guides, presentations, and other support resources. Provide product training and support to Sales, Aftersales, Inside Sales, and other internal teams. Serve as a go-to resource for product features, specifications, applications, and functionality. Support both wholesale and retail customers with product questions and information. Assist Sales and Aftersales teams with product-related questions, customer needs, and solutions. Help troubleshoot product issues and communicate information between customers and internal departments. Keep product information current across catalogs, websites, sales materials, and internal systems. Gather feedback from customers, Sales, and internal teams to identify opportunities for product improvements. Monitor product performance and help identify areas for improvement. Stay informed about company products, industry trends, customer needs, and competitive products. Perform other product-related duties and projects as needed. Product launch planning and execution Product information management and governance SKU, UPC, and product attribute management Product data quality and maintenance Technical documentation management Coordination of specifications, installation guides, sell sheets, catalogs, and digital assets Product-content accuracy across websites, catalogs, and partner platforms Product-training development and knowledge transfer Cross-functional project coordination with Engineering, Operations, Sales, Marketing, Customer Care, and Aftersales Product issue tracking and resolution management New product readiness reviews and launch checklists Qualifications Experience in product management, product support, sales support, manufacturing, engineering, or a related field preferred. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to understand and communicate technical product information. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. Comfortable working with multiple departments and teams. Strong problem-solving and customer-service skills. Ability to learn products quickly and become a knowledgeable resource for others. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business software. Experience working with product databases, ERP systems, or inventory systems is a plus.
