College degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain or equivalent experience and skills can be substituted.
Required Experience:
Entry to mid-level professional with experience in materials - inventory, purchasing, production, etc.
Motivated and eager to solve material challenges.
Strong relationship and communication skills as they will be working with multiple teams.
At least 1-3 years of experience in Purchasing/Supply Chain.
Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is desirable.
Proficient in using computers with knowledge of Microsoft suite applications (Specifically Outlook & Excel).
Strong drive and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently with good time management and organizational skills.
Strong relationship-building and collaborative management skills.
Preferred Experience:
Strong negotiation skills are a plus.
Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
ERP experience (SAP) is a plus but not required.
Job Responsibilities:
Ensure a continuous flow of incoming raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies.
Coordinate Open Purchase Order Management and/or Order Scheduling.
Monitor and improve supplier performance through established KPIs.
Work with suppliers on late orders, confirmation details, etc.
Take daily action regarding Material Requirements Planning (MRP) messages and escalate when issues are repeated.
