This role is essential in helping the company make data-driven decisions by accessing, analyzing, and visualizing key business information. The primary focus will be on leveraging SQL for data extraction, developing custom reports within the ERP system, and connecting ERP data to Microsoft Power BI to create insightful dashboards and management reporting tools. Primary Responsibilities Write SQL queries to retrieve data from our Global Shop Solutions ERP database Understand and work with relationships between GSS database tables Develop and modify custom reports within Global Shop Solutions using SQL Connect Global Shop Solutions data to Microsoft Power BI Build Power BI dashboards and reports for management Use Power Query and DAX to organize, calculate, and analyze business data Combine data from multiple ERP tables to create useful operational and financial reporting Develop reports and KPIs related to production, labor efficiency, quoted vs. actual hours, machine utilization, scheduling, sales, purchasing, quality, inventory, and profitability Troubleshoot existing SQL queries and reports Work directly with management to turn business questions into useful reports and dashboards Help automate reports that are currently created manually in

Excel Desired Skills Required or Strongly Preferred:

Strong SQL query-writing skills Experience working with relational databases and complex table relationships Experience extracting and reporting data from ERP or business systems Strong Microsoft Excel skills

Major Plus:

Pervasive PSQL / Actian Zen experience Global Shop Solutions experience Microsoft Power BI DAX Power Query Manufacturing ERP experience Experience developing custom ERP reports and dashboards We are not necessarily looking for a traditional software developer. We are looking for someone who is very comfortable working with databases and SQL and knows how to turn ERP data into useful business information. The right person should be able to take a questions we ask and determine how to retrieve the appropriate data from ERP or SQL and present it in a useful report or Power BI dashboard.
