Davenport, IA IT Business Analyst, Digital Enterprise Transformation Permanent Davenport, IA Posted 15 hours ago Talener We are seeking an IT Business Analyst to join the technology organization of an established Insurance Brokerage company undergoing significant enterprise modernization. This is a full-time, hybrid position supporting initiatives across core insurance platforms, business processes, enterprise technology, and emerging capabilities. The ideal candidate brings strong Property & Casualty or specialty insurance experience within the Business Analyst Job Function, or can bring proficient experience in Digital SaaS Modernization project experience in the Business Analyst Job function.

IT Business Analyst (Enterprise SaaS Modernization)Location:
Hybrid 3X a week On-Site (Bettendorf Iowa or Des Moines Greater Area, Iowa based candidates considered only)(Candidates Located in the Des Moines greater area will be allowed to work remotely after an initial onboarding period of 4-6 weeks, travel and lodging expenses will be paid for by the organization for said onboarding period.) Responsibilities- Lead end-to-end business analysis for large-scale enterprise initiatives, including core insurance platform transformations, legacy modernization, process re-engineering, and integrated technology implementations
- Serve as a strategic advisor to business and IT leadership, helping define future-state capabilities and translating business strategy into actionable technology requirements
- Lead discovery sessions, workshops, and working groups with business leaders, subject matter experts, architects, developers, and QA teams to align on business outcomes, scope, and solution approach
- Translate operational needs and business strategy into clear business requirements, user stories, use cases, personas, process documentation, and acceptance criteria
- Challenge existing processes and system constraints to identify opportunities for modernization, simplification, and improved business outcomes
- Partner with architecture and delivery teams to ensure business intent is preserved across solution design, integrations, data flows, and downstream impacts
- Support solution refinement and backlog prioritization while managing requirement dependencies, risks, tradeoffs, and change impacts across multiple workstreams
- Collaborate with QA and business testing teams to define acceptance criteria, data validation requirements, UAT plans, and expected outcomes
- Communicate project progress, risks, recommendations, and strategic considerations to senior and executive-level stakeholders Required Skills & Experience
- 6+ years of progressive Business Analysis experience, with strong experience in Property & Casualty, specialty insurance, or related financial services environments
- Strong understanding of end-to-end insurance operations, including product structure, rating, underwriting workflows, claims processes, and regulatory considerations
- Proven experience supporting enterprise modernization initiatives, including core policy or claims platform transformations, legacy system migration, and business process reengineering
- Ability to document complex requirements, translate ambiguity into actionable direction, and build consensus across business and technical stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to operate strategically, challenge current-state processes, and influence business leaders through structured analysis and data-driven communication
- Experience working with enterprise insurance platforms, CRM systems, service management platforms, integrations, or related enterprise technology environments is preferred
- Strong facilitation, negotiation, stakeholder management, analytical, and communication skills across executive, business, and technical audiences
- Experience supporting data, analytics, or AI-enabled business capabilities is highly desirable
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or equivalent experience Compensation
