Job Summary The Power BI Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing reporting solutions using data visualization tools. This role involves creating user-friendly dashboards, translating business requirements into actionable reporting objectives, and ensuring best-practice data visualization standards are applied. The position requires strong collaboration with business users, the ability to interpret non-technical requirements, and the capability to support multiple reporting projects simultaneously. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement reporting solutions using data visualization tools. Build and maintain user-friendly dashboards that support business needs. Translate customer reporting requests into actionable objectives and refined specifications. Analyze non-technical user requirements and convert them into detailed report specifications. Gather and organize feedback from business users and stakeholders. Apply best practices for data visualization, interactivity, and user experience. Create and validate complex calculations within visualization tools to support business logic. Maintain detailed documentation across multiple concurrent projects. Respond to inquiries within departmental expectations. Stay current with data visualization tools and best practices. Serve as an operational data visualization expert for the team and organization. Participate in discussions regarding reporting requirements, design, infrastructure needs, and project status. Use critical thinking, sound judgment, and creativity to address a variety of reporting and technology challenges. Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience designing, developing, and distributing dashboards using Tableau or Power BI. 5+ years of hands-on SQL experience and experience with at least one server/database administration tool (e.g., Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server, Google Analytics). 5+ years of experience working with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel, including pivot tables and graphing. Ability to travel up to 25%.
