The RoleKey ResponsibilitiesEnsure continuous operation, compliance, and security of network infrastructure by collaborating with network operations, architecture teams, and vendors.
Oversee and manage changes, problems, and root cause analysis (RCA) processes to resolve network issues efficiently and minimize downtime.
Be an escalation contact for incidents.
Assist with network project rollouts and implementations.
Plan and execute upgrades, installations, and ongoing support for network appliances and hardware.
Develop and manage capacity dashboards to monitor network performance and support steady-state operations.
Work with project managers and architects providing technical solutions.
Maintain accurate documentation of runbooks, network operations, changes, and incident resolutions.
Mentor team members and promote effective collaboration within the network engineering team and associated network teams.
Who You AreMinimum Qualifications8+ years of enterprise network/security engineering experience.
Proficiency in routing, switching, TCP/IP, VLANs, and troubleshooting network issues.
Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Switches, Cisco Wireless LAN controllers, Palo Alto/Cisco firewalls (including Global Protect), Cloudflare, Akamai, Infoblox, and F5Ability to configure, deploy, and maintain firewall policies, security rules, and user authentication (including Global Protect).Experience with VPN technologies (IPSec/SSL), NAT, HA, clustering, and performance tuning.
Experience with centralized management tools (e.g., Cisco Catalyst Center, Strata Cloud Manager, Panorama, and Netbrain).Experience with packet analysis tools (tcpdump, Wireshark) and log correlation.
Hands-on experience with AI agents or automation frameworks such as integrating LLM based assistance (ex: Copilot, Gemini, ChatGPT)Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Strong collaboration communication, skills.
Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE)Experience building custom AI agents for network operations.
Build, train, and tune AI models using network log data for diagnostics and incident triage.
Develop and maintain Ansible/Netbrain playbooks and roles to automate configuration management, application deployment, and orchestration tasks.
Ability to lead and participate in group projects with global teams.
Strong documentation and continuous improvement mindset.
Automation skills (Python, Ansible, APIs) are a strong plus.
