Senior Cybersecurity Consultant - Governance, Risk, Compliance & CISO Advisory Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Cybersecurity Consultant to support enterprise cybersecurity governance, risk, compliance, identity and access management, data security, business continuity, and security technology evaluations. This role will work closely with the CISO and senior stakeholders on cybersecurity policy, risk, audit, compliance, and strategic security initiatives. Key Responsibilities Develop and review cybersecurity policies, standards, procedures, and security controls. Support cybersecurity risk assessments, risk registers, risk exceptions, control matrices, audits, and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs). Assess regulatory and compliance requirements and recommend remediation for identified gaps. Evaluate Identity and Access Management (IAM), including access rights, permissions, authentication, and access controls. Support data inventories, data classification, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), data security, and Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs). Support Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery planning, including BCPs, DR plans, asset/vendor registers, communication plans, reporting, and Business Impact Analyses (BIAs). Evaluate cybersecurity technologies, including AI Governance, Vulnerability/Patch Management, and DLP solutions. Conduct cybersecurity research and analysis and prepare reports, recommendations, and executive-level deliverables. Collaborate with business and technical teams to support cybersecurity strategy and initiatives. Preferred Experience Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) Cybersecurity risk management and audits IAM and access controls Data security, privacy, and DLP Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Security policies, standards, and control frameworks Security product evaluations CISO or senior cybersecurity advisory support Required Qualifications Minimum 7 years of professional cybersecurity experience. Demonstrated experience in cybersecurity governance, risk, compliance, and advisory functions. Must be able to report onsite daily to the Hauppauge
NY 11788
area. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CGRC, or CISA are preferred but not required.
Pay:
