JOB DESCRIPTIONWe are seeking a highly experienced Managing Consultant to lead a strategic modernization initiative for a client focused on transitioning critical supply chain and operational analytics capabilities from Palantir Foundry to Databricks. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the future-state analytics architecture for one of the world's largest manufacturers while establishing a repeatable framework for future AI and data modernization efforts.

As the Onshore Lead, you will serve as the primary advisor and technical leader responsible for evaluating existing Palantir solutions, defining target-state Databricks architecture, and leading a blended onshore/offshore delivery team through discovery, migration, modernization, and optimization activitiesThis role requires a rare blend of Palantir expertise, Databricks architecture experience, consulting leadership, and executive communication skills.

Lead Palantir Assessment & Modernization Strategy
  • Evaluate existing Palantir implementations supporting supply chain and operational decision making.
  • Conduct current-state discovery and reverse engineering of applications, ontology structures, data models, business logic, and workflows where documentation may be limited or unavailable.
  • Develop detailed migration strategies and implementation roadmaps.
  • Partner with Sherwin-Williams business and technology stakeholders to validate requirements and prioritize modernization efforts.
Architect Future-State Databricks Solutions
  • Design enterprise-scale Databricks solutions that replicate and enhance existing Palantir capabilities.
  • Lead architecture decisions across:o Unity Catalogo MLflowo Databricks Appso Databricks Dashboardso Data Governanceo Metadata Managemento Semantic Layerso Ontology Mapping and Business Definitionso Design Catalogs for AI and Ontology Enablemento Build Certification of Data Ontology Enablemento Build Enterprise Frameworks for Data Ingestion, Quality and Metadata Management
  • Collaborate with client architecture teams to review, refine, and approve future-state designs.
Drive AI & Machine Learning Enablement
  • Assess existing predictive modeling, forecasting, and matching capabilities currently delivered through Palantir.
  • Recommend and implement Databricks-native AI and machine learning solutions.
  • Lead MLflow adoption and model lifecycle management practices.
  • Identify opportunities to improve business outcomes through enhanced modeling techniques and automationLead Delivery & Client Engagement
  • Manage a blended delivery pod consisting of Data Engineers, AI/ML Engineers, BI Engineers, and SolutionArchitects.
  • Serve as the primary client-facing leader and trusted advisor.
  • Facilitate workshops, architecture reviews, stakeholder discussions, and executive presentations.
  • Own delivery governance, risk management, prioritization, and overall program success.
  • Ensure migration outcomes meet or exceed existing business capabilities while positioning the organization forfuture AI adoption.
Establish Data Governance & Business Alignment
  • Define certification, tagging, glossary, lineage, and governance approaches within Databricks.
  • Work closely with client business stakeholders to validate outputs and ensure trusted, governed data products.
  • Support creation of scalable governance models that enable long-term platform growth.
ON-SITE WORK EXPECTATIONS
(US & CANADA)As a consulting position, the work location for this role varies according to client needs. Accordingly, this is not a remoteposition. While some assignments may be performed largely remotely, other assignments require fully on-site work, hybridwork, and/or occasional travel.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • 10+ years of experience leading enterprise Data & Analytics initiatives.
  • 3+ years of hands-on Palantir Foundry experience.
  • 3+ years of Databricks architecture and implementation experience.
  • Experience leading enterprise platform migrations and modernization programs.
  • Deep understanding of:o Data Architectureo Data Engineeringo AI/ML Solutions with MLflowo Data Governanceo Metadata Managemento Analytics Platforms
  • Strong experience working with Databricks and modern cloud data ecosystems.
  • Proven success leading distributed delivery teams.
  • Exceptional executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience migrating workloads from Palantir to Databricks.
  • Databricks Professional or Advanced Certifications.
  • Experience with:o Unity Catalogo MLflowo Databricks Appso Databricks Genieo Power BIo Delta Lake
  • Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Inventory Optimization, or Logistics domain expertise.
  • Fortune 500 consulting experience.
  • Experience implementing Data Mesh Methodology.
  • Experience leading architecture reviews and modernization assessments.
