Job Description
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
- Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems and system internals.
- Proficiency in C programming with hands-on experience in system and network programming.
- Strong experience with Perl scripting for automation and system administration tasks.
- Good understanding of TCP/IP networking, sockets, and inter-process communication.
- Knowledge of security concepts, secure coding standards, and defensive programming techniques.
- Experience with Kerberos authentication and related security frameworks.
- Familiarity with debugging, performance tuning, and system diagnostics tools.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and optimize system-level applications on Unix/Linux platforms using C.
- Design and implement network programming solutions utilizing sockets, IPC, and other communication protocols.
- Create and maintain automation scripts and system utilities using Perl.
- Analyze and troubleshoot operating system, application, and network-related issues.
- Implement secure coding practices and promote defensive programming methodologies.
- Support authentication and authorization mechanisms, including Kerberos integration.
- Monitor system performance and recommend tuning and optimization improvements.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to ensure platform stability and security.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.
- Experience with shell scripting (Bash/Korn Shell).
- Exposure to multi-threaded and concurrent programming.
- Knowledge of Linux security controls and identity management solutions.
- Experience in enterprise, banking, or financial services environments.
- Familiarity with source control tools such as Git.
