Industrial Controls ProgrammerBaltimore, MD Area OnsiteAbout the CompanyOur client is a specialized manufacturer in the process wastewater treatment technology space, designing and building equipment and systems that help industrial clients treat and manage wastewater. This is a direct-hire opportunity to join an established, growing organization at their facility in the Baltimore, MD area.



About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Industrial Controls Programmer to join the team in a direct-hire, onsite capacity. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled controls professional who combines strong hands-on programming ability with the expertise to read, interpret, and evaluate industrial control specifications. While the core of this role is programming, t is genuine potential for the right candidate to grow into a larger leadership position within the controls function.



What You'll Do

  • Program and maintain industrial control systems
  • Review and interpret industrial control specifications
  • Evaluate specifications to determine programming and controls requirements
  • Collaborate with internal teams on the company's industrial controls needs
  • Take on additional leadership responsibility within the controls department as skills and interest developWhat You Need
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial controls
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on programming experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience reviewing specifications specifically related to industrial controls
  • Demonstrated experience as a genuine, hands-on controls programmer
  • Strong ability to read and understand industrial control specifications
  • Experience with Allen-Bradley platformsNice to Have
  • Experience with Unitronics platforms
  • Interest and capability in eventually leading or helping stabilize a controls team
    Education
    No specific degree is required; relevant experience will be prioritized.
