Job Description
Our Rosedale-based construction site services company is looking for a professional, safety-focused Swing Driver to support both our Roll-Off and Portable Restroom Service divisions. This position is ideal for a dependable CDL driver who enjoys driving, takes pride in customer service, and is eager to learn multiple areas of our operation. You'll receive paid training to become proficient in both divisions. Whether you're delivering roll-off containers to commercial construction sites or servicing portable restrooms and holding tanks, you'll play an important role in keeping our customers' jobsites running smoothly. Our modern fleet includes Kenworth Hooklift trucks and Dodge 5500 service trucks equipped with automatic transmissions, air suspension, dash cameras, company-issued smartphones, and premium driver amenities. Each driver is assigned a dedicated truck and receives company-provided uniforms, PPE, outerwear, and a boot allowance. Responsibilities Safely operate commercial vehicles throughout Central Maryland, Northeast Maryland, and portions of Washington, DC. Cross-train and work in both the Roll-Off and Portable Restroom Service divisions based on operational needs. Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicles. Deliver, exchange, and retrieve roll-off containers at commercial construction sites. Service, clean, and maintain portable restrooms and holding tanks while following all environmental and safety procedures. Maintain accurate electronic logs, route information, inspections, and daily reports using company-issued mobile technology. Scan and upload required documents in our paperless, cloud-based operating system. Monitor equipment, containers, and vehicles for damage or maintenance needs and report issues promptly. Perform routine vehicle care, including greasing, daily interior cleaning, and weekly exterior washing. Provide exceptional customer service while representing the company professionally at every jobsite. Follow all DOT, company, and customer safety policies. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required. Tank (N) endorsement preferred. Air brake endorsement required. Minimum of two years of commercial driving experience. Roll-off, hooklift, vacuum truck, or portable restroom service experience is preferred but not required. We will train the right candidate. Construction site experience is a plus. Comfortable using smartphones, GPS navigation, electronic logs, and mobile applications. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Excellent attendance and a strong commitment to safety. Ability to work overtime and at least one Saturday each month. Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
