Job Summary Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Machinist/Programmer to join our growing manufacturing team. In this role, you will lead precision machining operations, ensuring the production of high-quality medical instruments and devices. Your expertise in CNC and manual machining, Mastercam, blueprint interpretation, and measurement will drive efficiency and excellence in our manufacturing processes.   • Set up and operate CNC machines such as lathes, mills, and grinders, ensuring precise alignment and calibration for each job
  • Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately to produce complex parts within specified tolerances
  • Program CNC equipment using G-code, M-code, and CAM programming software like SolidWorks or other CAD tools like Mastercam, to optimize machining processes.
  • Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other measurement instruments to verify part quality
  • Perform machine maintenance, tooling setup, and adjustments to maintain optimal performance and safety standards
  • Utilize manual machining tools such as hand tools, power tools, grinders, and lathes for secondary operations or fine-tuning parts as needed
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to interpret GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications for accurate manufacturing
  • Ensure adherence to lean manufacturing principles by minimizing waste and improving workflow efficiency during production cycles Skills
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in CNC set-up, programming including 4 & 5-Axis machining equipment
  • Proficiency in CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software such as SolidWorks and Mastercam
  • Extensive experience in CNC machining including lathe and milling operations using Fanuc or similar control systems
  • Strong knowledge of machining tools, tooling selection, setup procedures, and manual machining techniques
  • Skilled in CNC programming including G-code, M-code, and CAM software for efficient program development
  • Mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and apply GD&T standards for quality control
  • Expertise in precision measurement instruments such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, dial indicators, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) for quality inspection
  • Ability to perform machine setup independently while always maintaining safety protocols
  • Basic math skills for calculations related to measurements, tolerances, feed rates, speeds, and conversions
  • Experience with measurement quality control procedures to ensure parts meet strict specifications
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles aimed at reducing waste and optimizing productivity
Pay:
$40.00 - $45.00 per hour
