Full Job Description Summary:

The programming department is responsible for creating accurate and safe programs which run the machine tools and in turn, create detail parts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for model-based definition data download to Onamac file system.
• Responsible for decryption of customer data and filing.
• Create part and assembly drawings from Catia datasets.
• Assist quality control with datasets and dataset translations.
• Stand in as programming resource in overtime situations.
• Support the shop during an unanticipated sequence of events.

Qualifications:

• 5-Axis Programming of hard metals with MasterCam is required.
• 3-5 years' experience in machining.
• 5-10 years' experience in programming.
• Thorough understanding of machine tools.
• Experienced with cad/cam and CNC machines.
• Able to combine people and process for improved throughput.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to withstand long periods of stress.
• Prolonged sitting and working on a computer.
• Ability to aid in prove-out of programs at work center.

Work Environment:

• Work may be performed in an office environment or the manufacturing area of the facility which may require use of safety glasses and hearing protection.
• Exposure to heat, cold, dust, dirt, noise, odors, fumes, vapor from coolant, etc.
