If you build your own PCs, run a home lab, or just enjoy figuring out why the computer won't cooperate, this is a place to turn that into a real career. You do not need years of experience. You need to be reliable, curious, and good with people. We handle the training. Where this role goes This is the entry point to a defined career path: Helpdesk, then Tier 1, Tier 2, and Engineer. We support that growth with hands-on mentorship and [certification reimbursement (CompTIA A+, Network+, etc.)]. Techs who show up and learn move up here. Key Responsibilities Answer incoming support calls and assist users with basic IT issues Create, update, and manage help desk tickets Client On-Site Visits Provide basic troubleshooting for desktop, laptop, and peripheral issues remotely and on site Set up and configure computers (imaging, user setup, software installation) Prepare computers and equipment for deployment to end users Reset passwords and assist with basic account access issues Follow documented processes and escalation procedures Maintain an organized workspace Required Qualifications 0-2 years experience in help desk, technical support, or related IT role Comfortable answering phone calls and speaking with users professionally Basic understanding of Windows operating systems Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to follow instructions and documented procedures Willingness to learn new tools, systems, and technologies Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented Basic Technical Skills (Training Provided) Familiarity or interest in learning: Windows desktop setup and configuration Installing software and performing basic updates Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace (basic tasks such as password resets and user setup) Basic networking concepts (Wi-Fi, Ethernet, printers - no advanced networking required) Ticketing systems Preferred Previous customer service experience Experience setting up or troubleshooting PCs or laptops IT coursework or degree, certifications (CompTIA A+), or personal technical projects Experience working in an office or IT support environment Work Environment Office-based position Full-time Phone-based support role Hands-on computer setup Training and support provided What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who: Enjoys helping people and solving technology problems Is comfortable handling incoming phone calls Pays attention to detail when setting up equipment Communicates clearly and professionally Wants to build a career in IT and grow their technical skills Additional Job requirements: Able to pass a background check and random drug testing (including marijuana). Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Friendly and patient attitude when working with customers. Ability to carry 50 pounds up and down a flight of stairs.
