Job Description
IT Network Engineer Locations:
Brea, CA- ON SITE Infinity Technologies provides professional consulting services to municipalities.
- Leadership.
- Advanced Knowledge. Serves as the last escalation point to resolve technical issues. Provide IT technical support either by phone, remote access, or site visits as needed.
- Project Management.
- Design & architecture.
- Provides clear documentation of completed projects for various stakeholders.
- Document issues and resolution in IT Documentation Systems.
- Resolve, respond to, and update tickets in Ticketing Systems.
- Stays abreast of current and new technologies related to role.
- Must be available for after-hours calls as needed and respond in a timely manner.
- May participate in team on-call rotation (as required)
- Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements
- 5+ years of experience providing desktop support experience, including but not limited to: o Desktop and laptop hardware; o MS Windows 10 and 11; o MS Office 2016/Office 365 applications; o Azure o Mobile devices (i.e. iPhone, Android, etc.); o VoIP Phone Services (Hosted VoIP Solutions).
- 5+ years of hands-on Server Administration experience, including but not limited to: o Active Directory / Directory Services (AD, DNS, DHCP, WINS); o Hands-on desktop experience (WIN10 and WIN 11) and troubleshooting; o HP / Dell Server hardware; o Email Systems / Message Integration and Collaboration / Office 365; o Understanding virtualization technologies.
- 3+ years of networking and architecture experience. Understanding of TCP/IP, and DNS terminology and knowledge of how to troubleshoot. Hands on experience with LAN/WAN security architectures, frameworks, and components.
- 3+ years of hand on experience supporting, deploying, and configuring Hypervisors (Hyper V, VM ware).
- CompTIA+ Certification (

Additionally, Management reserves the right to waive this requirement for internal applicants with appropriately demonstrated knowledge and application of server administration).- Ability to resolve issues related to Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office/Office 365, and Microsoft Server Architecture, as well as an understanding of WAN/LAN network troubleshooting.
- Understanding of
OSPF, BGP
touting protocols, VOIP and QoS.- Ability to configure and manage firewalls and switches.
- Well versed in SAN technologies, with demonstrated technical application of knowledge.
- Advanced knowledge of server architecture. Understands the bridge between servers and networks and how to connect the two.
- Configuring and creating databases with Microsoft SQL.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Advanced Troubleshooting knowledge.
- Well-versed in IT documentation practices, understanding the importance of how critical it is to maintain accurate and detailed documentation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent reasoning, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent decision-making skills to plan, perform, problem-solve.
- Comfortable speaking to clients regarding their technology needs and making recommendations.
- Ability to build relationships both internally and externally.
- Ability to work through issues from start to finish and report back with root causes and recommendations.
- Ability to work from a ticketing system and provide quality updates to clients and internal teams.
- Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills.
- Excellent project management and time management skills.
- Proactive mindset; Ability to foresee possible issues and take proactive steps to prevent them.
- Ability to work varied times and support clients through transitions, upgrades or problems.
- Ability to learn and support new technologies.
- Ability and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed. Preferred Skills
- Security Operation Center (SOC) and/or Network Operation Center (NOC) experience Education
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field.

$90,000.00- $145,000.
