Primarily morning shifts beginning at 8:00 AM or later, with flexibility for client appointments and occasional after‑hours needsTransportation:
Reliable personal vehicle required for field support visits Role Overview We are seeking a detail‑oriented IT Hardware Repair Technician to perform device repairs, onsite troubleshooting, and customer-facing support for our local IT services team. This role requires strong communication skills, solid organizational habits, and the ability to prepare and research independently before technical appointments. You will manage your workflow with minimal supervision while delivering professional, high‑quality service to clients.Key Responsibilities Hardware repair:
Perform device screen replacements, electrical soldering, component-level repairs, and installation of replacement parts Onsite support: Conduct client visits for hardware diagnostics, repair, and equipment installation Remote support: Provide phone, email, and remote assistance when appropriate Hybrid workflow: Balance in-office repair tasks, remote support, and scheduled field visitsDocumentation:
Maintain accurate repair logs, ticket notes, and client-facing documentation Preparation and research: Independently research issues and prepare for appointments to ensure efficient resolutions Customer service: Communicate clearly, professionally, and confidently with clients, both verbally and in writing Required Qualifications Customer service excellence: Ability to communicate patiently, professionally, and confidently with clients Business communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills Hardware repair skills:- Device screen repair
- Electrical soldering (fine and basic)
- Electrical component replacement and installation
Certification:
CompTIA A+ preferred; candidates without certification must be willing to obtain it within a reasonable timeframe. Exam fees reimbursed upon passing Work style: Able to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks Organizational skills: Strong documentation habits and workflow management Learning mindset : Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies Preferred Qualifications Experience in device repair, electronics, or field technician roles Familiarity with common business hardware (laptops, desktops, tablets, peripherals) Experience with remote support tools and ticketing systems Compensation and Application Compensation is based on experience and skill level, with opportunities for certification reimbursement and growth.
