Job Description

Overview We are seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to provide onsite and remote technical support across a diverse enterprise environment. This individual will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware, software, operating system, and network-related issues while delivering exceptional customer service to end users. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving abilities, experience supporting multiple operating systems, and a solid understanding of enterprise identity and collaboration platforms. Key Responsibilities

+ Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 desktop support for end users in a fast-paced enterprise environment.

+ Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and peripheral issues.

+ Support and administer Windows 10, macOS, Ubuntu Linux, and Chrome OS devices.

+ Configure, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and other end-user technologies.

+ Manage user accounts, permissions, and group memberships within Active Directory and LDAP environments.

+ Support enterprise collaboration and productivity tools, including Google Workspace.

+ Diagnose and resolve networking issues related to VPN connectivity, DNS, DHCP, wireless, and wired network access.

+ Utilize command line tools and scripting utilities to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.

+ Document incidents, service requests, resolutions, and technical procedures within the ticketing system.

+ Prioritize and manage multiple support requests while maintaining service level expectations.

+ Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, and security teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.

+ Deliver excellent customer service and communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical users. Required Qualifications + 3-5 years of experience in a Desktop Support, IT Support, Systems Administrator, or related technical support role.

+ Strong experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues in an enterprise environment.

+ Advanced knowledge of macOS, Windows 10, Ubuntu Linux, and Chrome OS.

+ Experience supporting Google Workspace products in a corporate setting.

+ Working knowledge of networking concepts, including VPN, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, and wireless networking.

+ Experience administering Active Directory and LDAP accounts.

+ Proficiency using Command Line Interface (CLI) tools for troubleshooting and system administration.

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

+ Ability to effectively prioritize workload and manage competing priorities. Preferred Qualifications

+ Experience with endpoint management tools and device deployment.

+ Knowledge of identity and access management best practices.

+ Familiarity with scripting or automation tools.

+ Experience supporting hybrid or cloud-based environments. Skills

+ Incident & Ticket Management This role is ideal for a hands-on IT professional who enjoys solving technical challenges and supporting users across a diverse technology environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of San Diego, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
