Job Description

Seeking a DevOps Engineer (Information Technology Analyst II) for the Application, Development & Support Unit with a primary focus on troubleshooting, user support, and assisting with system maintenance and upgrades. Qualified applicants will possess experience in the specific functional area of software development. The selected candidate will provide technical support and analysis for enterprise applications and systems. This role focuses on troubleshooting, user support, and assisting with system maintenance and upgrades. The qualified candidate will work under supervision and collaborate with senior analysts and IT staff to ensure reliable and efficient IT operations. Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide end-user support for enterprise applications, including troubleshooting issues and resolving service requests.
  • Assist with system maintenance, upgrades, and configuration changes as directed by senior staff.
  • Install, configure and maintain software and tools supporting Azure DevOps.
  • Maintain application environments, such as development, stage, and production, including handling code deployments to these environments.
  • Troubleshoot issues and outages and observe performance.
  • Configure and monitor build agents, as well as deployment agents.
  • Administer and manage collections, projects and security.
  • Design, enable, and deliver scalable and automated infrastructure as code.
  • Manage CI/CD tools in collaboration with the DevOps team, including training as needed to the Project Management, Development and Testing teams.
  • Update existing processes and improve infrastructure and application development.
  • Support version control modernization efforts, including helping transition team workflows from TFVC to Git by assisting with basic migration tasks, validating repository structures, and following established conversion procedures.
  • Monitor application performance and report issues or anomalies to the appropriate team.
  • Document support activities, solutions, and procedures for knowledge sharing.
  • Participate in testing and validation of application changes or updates.
  • Collaborate with IT team members to ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Maintain awareness of IT best practices and security protocols. Additional skills considered to be a plus are:
  • Multiple years of experience in working with Azure DevOps.
  • Proficient communication skills and the willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
  • PowerShell scripting knowledge Qualifications and Skills
  • Familiarity with enterprise applications and basic troubleshooting techniques.
  • Understanding of version control concepts; exposure to Git preferred.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to follow documented procedures and escalate issues as needed.
  • Basic understanding of IT security and compliance requirements.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
