United Aluminum's modern and clean facility is conveniently located off I-91 and the Merritt Parkway in North Haven, CT. We have an exceptional opportunity for a Junior Systems Administrator - Helpdesk & IT Infrastructure to maintain servers, storage systems, virtual environments, monitor network health, routing, firewalls, and data security controls. Preferred candidates will have 5+ years of progressive experience in managing helpdesk and systems administration.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain servers, storage systems, and virtual environments. Monitor network health, routing, firewalls, and data security controls. Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and disaster recovery testing. Provide support to users. Schedules system patches, updates, and configuration changes. Create scripts and use automation tools to streamline daily operations. Maintain system documentation, knowledgebase and asset inventories. Guide and mentor helpdesk staff. Provide after-hours support as and when needed for users or system maintenance/upgrades.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 5+ years of progressive experience in managing helpdesk and systems administration. Strong expertise in Windows Server environments, virtualization, Citrix and storage systems. Proficiency in scripting languages. Work on-site. Relevant industry certifications (preferrable). Experience working in manufacturing environment (preferrable). Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to evaluate issues and determine appropriate next steps.
