Local travel between offices as needed Right at Home is looking for a hands-on, tech-savvy IT professional to provide part-time technology support across our four Georgia locations: Snellville, Covington, Fayetteville, and Rome. This is a great opportunity for an experienced IT professional, independent IT consultant, computer technician, or someone with a strong Geek Squad/technical support background who is looking for a flexible part-time opportunity. You will be the go-to person for technology across our organization. You'll troubleshoot problems, help employees with their computers and technology, set up new equipment, manage our technology vendors, keep our systems secure and organized, and occasionally visit our offices when an issue can't be resolved remotely. We're looking for someone who is a problem solver first —someone who can walk into a technology problem, figure out what's wrong, and get it fixed without needing a lot of direction.
Position Details Part-Time:
Approximately 15-20 hours per week (Guaranteed minimum hours of 15 per week) Flexible schedule Combination of remote and on-site support Supports four Right at Home locations Local travel between offices as needed Ideal for an independent IT professional, consultant, computer technician, or experienced technical support specialist What You'll Do as our IT & Technical Support Serve as the primary point of contact for technology issues across four locations. Provide remote technical support to employees. Visit offices when problems cannot be resolved remotely. Troubleshoot computers, laptops, monitors, printers, scanners, Wi-Fi, networks, internet connectivity, phones, and other technology. Set up, configure, and deploy new computers and equipment. Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding, including setting up and removing technology access. Keep track of all company technology equipment and maintain an accurate equipment inventory. Maintain records of serial numbers, assigned employees, locations, warranties, and anticipated replacement dates. Help employees with everyday technology questions and problems. Microsoft 365 & User Support Provide support for Microsoft 365, Teams, Outlook, and OneDrive . Set up and manage user accounts and permissions. Assist with passwords and multi-factor authentication (MFA). Troubleshoot email, file-sharing, connectivity, and other common Microsoft 365 issues. Security & System Maintenance Help maintain endpoint protection and cybersecurity tools. Ensure computers and devices receive necessary updates and security patches. Monitor and maintain basic backup and disaster-recovery processes. Identify potential technology or security issues and bring them to leadership's attention. Equipment & Vendors Research and recommend computers, equipment, software, and technology solutions. Purchase and configure technology equipment as needed. Coordinate with internet, phone, software, hardware, cybersecurity, and other technology vendors. Schedule and coordinate service calls and repairs. Help plan technology replacements and upgrades. Assist with technology needs for new office openings, moves, and expansions. Keep leadership informed about technology needs, upcoming replacements, and potential issues. Social Media & Online Presence This position will also provide support for Right at Home's social media and online presence. Manage Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Manage and update Google Business Profiles. Create and post engaging content. Help promote our offices, employees, community involvement, recruiting efforts, and services. Monitor comments, messages, and online reviews. Assist with online reputation and review management. Track basic social media and online engagement analytics. What We're Looking For We're less concerned about a specific degree or job title and more interested in what you can actually do . You may be a great fit if you are: An independent IT professional or consultant looking for part-time work. A computer technician or technical support specialist. Someone with Geek Squad, Best Buy, or similar hands-on technology experience. An experienced IT support professional looking for a flexible schedule. Someone who enjoys fixing computers and solving technology problems. Comfortable working independently without needing constant direction. Patient and friendly when helping people who aren't particularly tech-savvy. A strong problem solver who can figure things out when the answer isn't obvious. Organized and able to keep track of equipment, accounts, vendors, and technology needs. Technical Experience Experience with the following is strongly preferred: Windows computers and laptops Microsoft 365 Outlook Microsoft Teams OneDrive Wi-Fi and basic networking Printers and scanners Internet connectivity User accounts and permissions MFA Computer setup and troubleshooting Cybersecurity basics Device updates and patching Cloud-based applications Experience with social media platforms and basic content creation is a plus. The Right Person for This Role You don't need to be a corporate IT director or a cybersecurity engineer. We're looking for someone who can roll up their sleeves and fix things . If an employee says, "My computer isn't working," you know how to troubleshoot it. If the Wi-Fi is down, you know where to start. If a new employee needs a computer, email, Teams, and access set up, you can handle it. If a printer suddenly stops working, you don't immediately call someone else—you try to figure it out. And if something is outside your expertise, you're comfortable identifying the problem and knowing when to bring in the appropriate vendor or specialist. Most importantly, you're dependable, responsive, organized, and good with people.
Pay:
$26.98 - $32.50 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 - 20.0 per week
