Job Description

Overview We are seeking a Help Desk Technician to provide first-line technical support for end users in a Windows-based environment. This role is responsible for troubleshooting hardware, software, printer, and connectivity issues while delivering excellent customer service. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with solid technical troubleshooting skills and a willingness to learn and grow within IT. Key Responsibilities

+ Serve as the primary point of contact for technical support requests via phone, email, chat, and ticketing systems.

+ Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows operating systems, desktop applications, and peripheral devices.

+ Perform break/fix support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other end-user hardware.

+ Install, configure, and support network and local printers, including troubleshooting connectivity and printing issues.

+ Assist users with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Microsoft Teams.

+ Diagnose and resolve basic networking and connectivity issues, including IP-related problems and email access issues.

+ Document incidents, service requests, resolutions, and troubleshooting steps in the ticketing system.

+ Escalate complex technical issues to appropriate support teams when necessary.

+ Maintain a high level of professionalism while providing exceptional customer service and user support.

+ Participate in knowledge sharing and continuous learning initiatives to improve technical skills and service delivery. Required Qualifications

+ Minimum of 2 years of Help Desk, Service Desk, or IT Support experience.

+ Experience supporting Windows 7 and Windows 11 environments.

+ Strong troubleshooting and break/fix experience supporting end-user hardware and software.

+ Experience supporting and managing network printers, printer installations, and printer connectivity issues.

+ Basic understanding of networking concepts, including IP connectivity and email troubleshooting.

+ Experience supporting Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Teams.

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

+ Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities. Preferred Qualifications

+ Experience working in an enterprise support environment.

+ Familiarity with ticketing systems and IT service management processes.

+ Knowledge of Active Directory user administration.

+ CompTIA A+, Network+, or related certifications. Skills

Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Savannah, GA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
