Total Techs is looking for an experienced and motivated Lead IT professional to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems, leading IT initiatives, supporting users, and helping build reliable, secure technology environments. As Lead IT, you will serve as a senior technical resource and take ownership of day-to-day IT operations while helping guide technology strategy, infrastructure, security, and support. Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee day-to-day IT operations and technical support. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, networking, and system issues. Manage and maintain servers, workstations, networks, cloud services, and other IT infrastructure. Monitor system performance, availability, and security. Manage user accounts, permissions, devices, and access controls. Implement and maintain cybersecurity best practices. Coordinate software, hardware, and technology deployments. Manage backups, disaster recovery procedures, and business continuity processes. Document systems, configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting solutions. Work with vendors and technology partners as needed. Identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency, and security. Lead IT projects from planning through implementation. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other IT team members. Communicate technical issues and solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical users. Stay current with emerging technologies, security threats, and industry best practices. Qualifications 5+ years of professional IT experience preferred. Strong knowledge of Windows environments, networking, hardware, and troubleshooting. Experience administering Microsoft 365, cloud services, or similar platforms. Experience with network infrastructure, including switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless systems. Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and access management. Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions. Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects independently. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Excellent organizational and documentation skills. Ability to lead projects and take ownership of technical environments. Preferred Experience Microsoft certifications or other relevant IT certifications. Experience with Active Directory / Entra ID. Experience with virtualization technologies. Experience with endpoint management and monitoring tools. Experience managing firewalls and enterprise networks. Familiarity with scripting or automation.
