Position Summary:
The IT Support and Systems Administrator leads day-to-day IT operations and end‑user support, including but not limited to hardware, accounts, core application administration, and site-level troubleshooting. This role pairs closely with the VP of Technology and Homestyle Direct's Managed Services Provider (MSP) of IT on larger infrastructure projects, security and compliance initiatives, and vendor strategy and selection. This is a hands-on, high-volume role well suited to someone who is curious, learns fast, and uses AI tools as a core part of how they work.

Key Responsibilities:
End User Support & Asset Management Break fix response for hardware and software with defined SLAs (target: sub-30-minute average first response, 85%+ of tickets resolved without escalation, and aIT satisfaction score of 4.5+ out of 5. Provision, image, and maintain company devices (computers, monitors, printers, docking stations, etc.) on-time and within budget as necessary; lifecycle and inventory management.
Software support:
assess needs/challenges and deliver cost effective solutions. Account & Application Administration Manage user groups/roles/permissions across on-premises Active Directory, Microsoft 365/Entra, NetSuite, and other SaaS products. Maintain secure onboarding/offboarding, license administration hygiene, and access reviews. Security Operations Phishing mitigation, DLP monitoring, and email quarantine management. Patch management and endpoint protection compliance. Follow established incident response playbooks; escalate novel or high-severity incidents to the VP of Technology and coordinate with security vendors as directed. Support HIPAA and security compliance work (audits, assessments, remediation tracking) - a growing part of this role given HSD's healthcare partnerships. Network & Connectivity Monitor and troubleshoot routers, switches, wireless, and printers, day-to-day; support
VPN/SFTP
connectivity and larger site-infrastructure Monitor performance and uptime; support ISP relationships and failover coordination. Vendor Management & Budget Stewardship Handle day-to-day tickets, coordination, and routine renewals with PathForward IT, Dialpad, RF-Smart, ShipStation, eSentire, Dell, M4 Communications, DEX Imaging, Titan Security, ISPs, and others Track service levels, contracts, and cost optimization; document run books.
Skills & Qualifications:
1-3 years of hands-on IT support/operations experience (help desk, internship, or similar count), with some exposure to Microsoft 365/Entra/Azure AD, Windows endpoint management, and basic networking Some exposure to administering SaaS platforms (e.g., NetSuite, Dialpad, or similar) - deep expertise isn't required, but you should be comfortable learning a new admin console quickly. Basic security hygiene habits (phishing awareness, patching, MFA/access hygiene) and willingness to learn deeper security frameworks and HIPAA-related controls over time. Strong documentation habits; ability to translate technical issues to business terms. Customer‑service mindset; calm under pressure; bias for measurable outcomes. Genuine enthusiasm for using AI tools (Copilot, Claude, or similar) day-to-day for troubleshooting, documentation, and learning new systems quickly.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with SharePoint migrations and drive‑to‑cloud transitions. Exposure to RF‑Smart or similar WMS peripherals (handhelds, label/printer fleets). Scripting/automation (PowerShell, Intune, basic Suite/NetSuite admin familiarity). CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ (in progress or completed) - a plus, not required. Prior use of AI coding or ops assistants (e.g., Claude Code, ChatGPT, Copilot) to build small scripts, automate tasks, or speed up documentation. Why Join Us?
