JOB DESCRIPTION
Under the general supervision of the Information Systems Manager, performs the following duties and responsibilities: Responds to and works with end users to resolve information systems service requests channeled through the Help Desk. Provides customer service and timely resolution of assigned tasks. Configures, deploys, repairs, and replaces information technology equipment. Installs and configures computer applications, operating systems, software, and software upgrades. Analyzes, diagnoses, and remediates hardware, software, and connectivity issues. Maintains accurate documentation of work performed. Creates, updates, and maintains process and procedure documentation. Performs server and NAS system troubleshooting, updates, and maintenance. Works with and serves as a liaison to vendors and technicians. Maintains IT inventory, researches and orders IT equipment. Responds to hardware and software outages that occur outside of traditional working hours. Performs project coordination duties, including working with the Project Manager and/or Information Systems Manager to ensure assigned tasks are completed on schedule; installing and configuring necessary hardware and software; and attending project meetings as directed. Assists with Microsoft Exchange Online administration.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of server and NAS operating systems. Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Online is preferred. Knowledge of information technology applications, software, and equipment. Knowledge of computer networks, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. Professional certifications such as CompTIA Network+ or Security+, or an approved equivalent, are preferred. Knowledge of data cabling standards. Ability to work a flexible schedule; may be required to arrive early, stay past scheduled work hours, or adjust scheduled work hours to provide coverage for the Information Systems Manager. Ability to work in an "on-call" status; position is considered a secondary emergency contact for network, information system, and technology emergencies. Knowledge of English usage, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and business form composition. Knowledge of basic mathematics and accounting practices. Ability to talk and hear in person and by telephone. Ability to learn and utilize technical equipment and multiple software programs. Ability to learn, interpret, and apply complex regulations and laws that are continually revised. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively verbally, in writing, and electronically. Ability to interact with a diverse population with poise, tact, diplomacy, and assertiveness, and possess strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work under steady pressure with frequent interruptions. Ability to calmly deal with angry and/or frustrated individuals. Ability to see, read, interpret, and transcribe written information from multiple formats and locations. Ability to organize work and work independently. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work generally involves light work in an office setting and may include working in crawl spaces and other confined areas. The position frequently requires sitting, talking, hearing, using hands to handle or feel objects, and performing other similar activities throughout the workday.
