Work Study Peer Educator and Digital Coordinator Posting Details Position Information Title Work Study Peer Educator and Digital Coordinator Position Description Department Overview The Sexual Violence Advocacy and Support Center (SVASC) at Bridgewater State University is dedicated to reducing incidents of sexual assault and relationship violence on campus and within the community. The SVAS Center, in compliance with best practices and recommendations of Massachusetts Department of Higher Education and the CDC, uses innovative approaches to educate and create awareness around topics of sexual assault, harassment, dating and domestic violence, and stalking. To better serve, support, and ensure the safety of our BSU family, the center promotes the ideals of respect, community, responsibility, and nonviolence. Position Information The SVASC is seeking assistance with increasing its visibility on campus and providing the campus community with violence prevention education through digital means. The SVASC Peer Educator and Digital Engagement Coordinator will help increase awareness about sexual and relationship violence prevention through creative means such as managing the center's social media accounts, creating and implementing monthly digital campaigns, and designing event flyers. Additional integral duties include providing advocacy to survivors seeking support and resources from the SVAS Center.
Eligibility requirements:
Must be a Bridgewater State University undergraduate student registered for a minimum of six credits for the Fall 2026 semester. Must have Work Study award in your financial aid package Preferred Qualifications Requirements Candidates must have excellent communication, writing, and organizational skills The ability to be a supportive and flexible team member Candidates must be dependable and punctual Candidates must possess a strong passion for violence prevention work. Preferred Communications, Marketing, or English majors Physical Demands Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 20 pounds.
